We continue to believe that recreational sport gives us the opportunity to engage. We serve a great God who has given us the Gospel and called us to share it and grow God’s Kingdom. Secondly, let’s please not ever stop engaging with our neighbors and speaking truth in love to a hurting world. While we are sad with the decision, we love and respect our church leaders with all our hearts.

Also, please honor our commitments to love each other well. If you have any concerns about any church decision, please express those concerns with the right people. But we love our church, and we will always work to protect its purity and peace. First, for all our involved Perimeter Members – this is a sad decision for us. Please let us end with two important requests. The Gospel has the power to change all of us, and we have had a front row seat as God did his work through IGNITE. We also are thankful for all of you who allowed us to love on your kids and were willing listen to our efforts to try and explain and live out the incredible Gospel message. We are so grateful for all of you who made an impact for God’s Kingdom. We have many, many examples of the fruit of everyone’s efforts. Through basketball and soccer, there are thousands of families who have been exposed to the Gospel. You all were amazing.Ĭody and I decided to take over the running of Perimeter/IGNITE Basketball in response to a call from our pastors to intentionally engage our neighbors for the purpose of exposing them to God and his people. Here is the grateful part – With the help of many of you who coached in IGNITE, we have had opportunities to bring thousands of those in our neighborhoods and communities into our church and to expose them to the Gospel and to God’s Kingdom. So, unfortunately and sadly, there will be no IGNITE basketball this year. First the sad part – We have been told that we will no longer be allowed to rent facilities at Perimeter Church for the IGNITE basketball program. Cody and I are writing today with sad but grateful hearts.
